Taster Session

1 hour | £32.50pp

Monday to Sunday

Join us in our Clay Studio for a one-of-a-kind pot-throwing experience! Our welcoming Studio Hosts will give you a brief demonstration before setting you up on the wheel and guiding you through the steps to create your very own Jasperware pot.

What’s included?

Your own potters wheel

Towels & aprons
One fired natural jasperware pot.
Your pot will be ready to collect from World of Wedgwood up to 4-6 weeks after your visit.
You can pay extra on the day for additional fired pots and glazing.

Introduction to Throwing

3 hours | £70pp

Wednesday & Sunday afternoons

Our introduction to throwing session offers the opportunity for a more in-depth pot-throwing experience. During the first half of your studio time, you will focus on the key skills required to throw an evenly formed cylinder.

After a refreshment break, where you are welcome to order drinks to the studios from our Wedgwood Tea Room, our Studio Host will give a second brief demonstration, focusing on shaping basic forms on the wheel.

You then have an hour and a half to put your newfound pot-throwing skills to the test with the continued support of our wonderful studio hosts.

We have one accessible wheel that is height adjustable, please specify in the notes if you require this.
Clay is a temperamental medium; sometimes, cracks may appear on pots when fired.
We welcome children aged 11 and over when accompanied by an adult; however, please note that these sessions are primarily designed for adults.
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Unfortunately, cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice cannot be refunded, and no-shows will also not be refunded.
